With all the recent controversy surrounding Channel 7’s latest show “Restaurant Revolution” I thought I’d go and see why they’re tanking so bad.
Basically Melbourne’s offering was really nice but not “to die for”.
We each ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Burger special and a side of the meatballs to share.
To our surprise the burgers came without any sides to compliment them. That said they were delicious, exceptionally juicey, and the perfect amount of crunch.
The asian themed slaw within had a hint of sweetness, which balanced well with the peanut crumbing coating the chicken thighs.
The star of the meal was unquestionably the meatballs though. I wish I could jar up that tomato sauce and take it home with us. Once we’d devoured the meatballs I treated the remaining sauce like a rich meaty/fatty soup and spooned it down.
For what we had the price was spot on, not sure how much we might have ordered if they didn’t have the burger special though.
The service was better then we expected and a special mention to Conrad. Awesome server, attentive, relaxed and well presented.
I didn’t get the name of our table server but he was equally excellent, and didn’t hesitate to ensure my nut allergy was looked after.
Will be sure to come back again, provided the have a special on, or maybe a student discount 😉
